My name is Racine Sales. I am a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelors in Journalism/Communications and I am also a graduate of Capella University with a Master’s in School Counseling. I reside in Fayetteville, GA with my husband who is a Railroad Engineer for CSX based out of Manchester, and we have 4-year-old twin daughters. I am excited to be working here in Manchester and look forward to meeting the needs of the students and preparing them for the next chapter in their lives.
The goal of Manchester’s School Counseling Program is to prepare all students to be college, and workforce ready upon graduation by supporting student’s academic, social, and personal needs.
• Academics/Career: Performing individual, group, and classroom guidance with students in regards to future plans, scholarships information, testing information, and other secondary and postsecondary activities to prepare them for the next grade level and postsecondary plans.
• Social/Personal: Performing individual, group, mediation, classroom guidance on various issues concerning students inside and outside of school.
It is also the counseling department’s mission to build a stronger communication with not only students but parents as well. This will help to keep everyone informed of important events occurring within the school such as scholarship information, SAT/ACT test dates, applying for college, and much more.
Remind is a text/email message system created to keep students and parents informed of important information within the school.
